Our Story
Mental health isn’t new. Mental health isn’t old. Mental health is in the present. Hello, my name is Anishka Duvvuri, and I’m the founder of care4publichealth.

Our story begins with the belief that everyone needs support in their life, either physically or mentally. I grew up in a very competitive environment: Silicon Valley. When I entered middle school, there was a lot of pressure to achieve various awards, perfect grades, be the best sports player, etc. This really took a toll on my mental health, and I will describe it with one word: spiraling. One thing I would tell myself was, “I am not and can NEVER be as smart as my peers.” Later on, I got my support, from my high school friends, causing my mental health and happiness to improve.
Take a look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

We all have our problems in our life; it does not matter if we are considered at the top of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs or at the bottom. I would say each level on Maslow’s pyramid has a specific set of solutions to help those stuck at a level. What is common about these solutions is that they all provide support, love, and care. Care4publichealth aims to provide this.
I decided to make this nonprofit serve my community, the underprivileged, and various sports communities. Our mission is to provide peer support and raise mental health awareness in kids in grades K-12, help needy sportsmen in sports communities, and sponsor grants for the underprivileged, aspiring sportsmen.
I devised three programs– the buddy system, sports goods donation and distribution, and sportsmen sponsoring– to fulfill our mission. Please view our other page for more details.
Thank you, and we plan to create rich chapters in our story
